Aquapurge - Extreme Purging

TAKE THE EXTREME PURGING CHALLENGE

If you're an injection moulder, and you can't shift the colour or material from your grimy barrels and carbonised screws, you're in luck.

Because Aquapurge has launched the Extreme Purging Challenge, in which we promise to solve your most difficult purging problems.

We're really putting our credentials on the line here. This is your chance to come to us with your toughest purging issues: it might be a colour change that you can't get right; a problem that you think is beyond us; or a long-standing challenge that your current purging compound simply can't fix.

We're up for any challenge – the tougher the better!

We've already used our Barrel Blitz Universal purging compound to solve four typical problems – and they've all been immortalised in a series of short films.

The four problems are:

  1. moulding PVC followed by acetal
  2. switching from a high temperature to a low temperature resin
  3. moulding polyethylene prior to polycarbonate
  4. clearing out black specks before moulding a clear resin

Take the switch from PVC to acetal. Ordinarily, it's something you try to avoid, or you run something neutral in between the two. With Barrel Blitz Universal, you can safely switch from one to the next.

The Extreme Purging Challenge is initially restricted to injection moulding applications, and to the screw and barrel of the machine.

Aquapurge will film each Challenge and, whatever the outcome, post the results here.
